Graze Burgers is listed on the 7 must try restaurants in Sevierville, TN., so of course I had to try it, as I’m always down for a good burger. I really wanted to love this place, but couldn’t.
It is tucked away in downtown Sevierville, and has a cozy atmosphere equipped with televisions and wooden booths. There is also a patio out back which is pet-friendly. I didn’t order any appetizers because I wanted to save my appetite for a burger. Our waitress was there as soon as we sat down and came back within 5 minutes and took our drink order. However, after that, we didn’t see much of her and realized she was the bartender and was waiting on a table near the front door. Not sure if this is typical, but we saw several other tables come in and get food before we even got our order placed, and didn’t receive some items we requested. When we arrived, they weren’t busy, but all tables were full by the time we sat down and got our drinks ordered.
I tried the GNO Girls Night Out Martini. Again, it took some time before it arrived, which I was okay with as it has fresh pureed strawberries, fresh lemon and lime, and you could taste the freshness in this drink. This was a 5/5 and I would definitely order again.
After going back and forth on the burgers, I settled on the Pistol Pete since it seemed it would have some spice with the buffalo hot sauce and it was a little different with the bean and corn salsa. I was also pleasantly surprised to know they had gluten free buns. If you can’t decide on fries or onion rings, you can order 50/50.
My companion ordered a Classic Burger with bacon and the 50/50 side order. The beef is locally sourced and grass fed, which I appreciate. I love supporting local businesses. The flavor of the beef was tasty. However, my burger didn’t have much flavor coming from the buffalo sauce, fire roasted peppers, or corn & bean salsa, so that was disappointing. My gluten free bun fell apart, and the bacon was rather disappointing on my companion’s burger, being limp and lacking in crispiness. The fries are just average, and the onion rings were rather greasy, making them difficult to eat.
I left with feelings of a neat place to hang out with friends, and maybe have a drink or two. But overall, it was lacking in flavor, details, and service. Not a place I would recommend or return for a burger.
